I have a 2002 Z06 with long tube headers and high flow cats. No tune and no intake at this time.
Put my car on a dyno this weekend. It was a portable dyno and the car had to be backed up a steep ramp to get on the rollers. Strapped it down, turned off TC and AH and began rolling in 1st gear. The DIC began reading "Service TC/AH" and "Service ABS". I double checked that it was off and decided to go ahead and make the pull.
It made a whopping 282 rwhp!
Pulled it off the dyno and cleared the codes. I had another Z06 owner go for a ride and both of us felt it was pulling hard.
Anyone else experienced this? I want to put it back on the dyno, but don't want this to happen again.
The car is going to display those messages because the front wheels are not moving. The messages are because of the speed discrepancy between to the front and the back and there is nothing wrong with the car. Your car is should dyno at least 350 rear wheel stock on a dynojet, so I don't know why you would only get 282.

Will it display this message even when everything is turned off??? I was running with other Z06's at VIR and they would not pull me on the straights like they were making 70 hp more.
yes, it will, even with everything off. What gear did they dyno the car in? What other mods do you have to the car?
4th gear. Supermaxx Lt headers, x-pipe, and high flow cats. No other mods. I did not expect much if any gain over stock, but I certainly did not expect to lose 70hp.
Again, running with other Z06's on the track... it did not appear I was down on power against them. I would think 70rwhp would be very noticeable.
A buddy of mine put his 300Z twin turbo on a portable dyno. They were having a contest for who ever made the most HP. The chick with the biggest Hooters won.
I also have an 02 Z06 with Stainless Works LT headers, 3" X pipe and high flow cats, VARARAM and ported throttle body. I too got the same codes and lights but dynoed at 375 RWHP and 365 Tq. People have told me that that 375 low for my mods but it pulls like a bastard and my 1/4 trap speed 114-115 tells me that the HP is there! I have heads and cam ready to install this winter!!

There was a thread earlier in the Performance section on the portable dyno they had at Carlisle and the low results it was giving. I wouldn't worry about it. Do you have the curve, did they give you SAE corrected? There are several different adjustments they can do, best to look at the plot if you have it. It wasn't a Mustang dyno was it?

It was a dynojet. Other cars that dyno'd were getting reasonable numbers, so I know it was an issue with just my car. I am hoping the ecu was closing the throttle plate and/or pulling timing for some reason. I don't think corrected vs uncorrected would give a 70hp difference.
