Compression ratio with Mongoose heads
Does anyone know what the static compression ratio for my motor would be with Diamond flat top piston (4.125 bore) and AFR 225cc Mongoose heads with 66cc combustion chambers. I've e-mailed AFR but haven't heard back. I'm changing from Patriot heads and any advice on the AFR's would be helpful. Thanks.

I would contact Tony Mamo directly. He is very knowledgable and gets back to you very quickly. He has answered all the questions I have asked on AFR heads. He also is on the LS1tech.com forum as well.

If its a flat top piston, you should be around 12.25:1 assuming a .054 head gasket with zero deck height.
THats way too much compression to run on pump gas unless u are running a gigantic cam and even then, I doubt it.
