Will the '97-'99 FOBs, part #10253839, work on a '00? And
will the '00 FOB, part #10432147, work on the '97-'99s?

Thanks-

I know a 97-99 will NOT work on a 2000...not sure about the others. Do a search on the forum for this...I know this has been answered before.

Nope. Three non-interchangeable versions. 97-99, 00, 01-04.

Take it easy.

From what I read the 2000 will work on 97-99
I just does not have the passive switch.

I have been thinking of changing the system to the 04 tire sensor and fob system. I just need to get the reciver and Tire sensors see if it works. JUst another thing on my todo list. It would save alot of cash when replacing tire sensors and key fobs.

I've read the same thing on the 2000, and as looking for a definitive answer both ways.
I plan on keeping this Vette forever, so your thoughts on changing the system seems like a good one when replacement time happens.

Thanks everyone.

My 2000 came with a 10253839. It works just fine Ihave tried the passive and it works also. Maybe it's just mine. I plan on ordering a second fob on Monday.

There are TWO arcitecher (SP?) RFA modules, FOB's and Tire Pressure sensors (TPS). 97 - 2000 & 2001 - 2004. If you have one, you can NOT use the other. It just wont work!!!!

The two TPS's are physicaly different in size and shape.

2001 and above C5 sensor.

97-2001 C5 sensor.

Mounted inside of an aftermarket rim that requires banding in place.

I called GM on this...I have a 99, and was about to get a 00 FOB...they said, do not buy a 00 for 99 as it will not work. But then again, what do stealerships really know???

The fact that the harnesses are the same is encouraging.

PLEASE keep us informed on your progress!

I would do this in a second if I knew it would work
