Well I got my setup finally done except got one problem that makes no sense to me and how to fix it. The 10 M6 bolts that hold the intake down to the heads, one of them will not thread in and catch. Its the one furthest back (under the cowl) on the drivers side.
Now I even removed all the other 8 bolts (1 on the passenger side under the cowl held up with a rubber cut hose) and still cut not push the intake back or move it to get that bolt to thread.
Now if I remember correctly the bottom part of the intake has the 1/2" diameter sized plastic cylinder that is around the bolt holes that basically sit in the indents on the cylinder heads, so cant really move it.
Now for now Im going to leave it be till I get my 60lb injectors back from flow testing and remove my NASTY performance fuel rails and maybe retry that bolt. But I got a feeling that one aint going to go in.
I didn't have that problem with my LSX but I wish I had thought about using the hose to keep those last 2 bolts up while I slid it back. Teh other problem was the MAP sensor not fitting very snugly which I understand is common. Had to use RTV to seal it well. Also extended that thin tube in the rear of the manifold that will forever make the job a lot easier. Good luck.
How did you extend that small tube? I didnt see where it goes to. I was going to try to find another hose of that size and connect to that right angle fitting then extend it and then connect it to the intake manifold.
I may just run the car without that bolt for now till I get my new injectors in a few days.

I picked up a brass or plastic hose "joiner" ( I do't know what it's called) from the auto parts store and about 8 inches of hose. I forgot to put it on before I bolted down the manifold. Luckily my long skinny fingers and hands were able to get the hose onto the plastic line coming up from wherever. This is the one that attaches to the MAP sensor. The other hose just slipped right on the LSX in the rear. Not sure it's a great idea to run without the bolt. You won't need to remove the manifold to change injectors. Does the bolt screw in with the manifold off?

That hose is the vaccum hose for your climate control, moves door inside the dashboard for defroster to vents to floor vents......I cut the right angle off and attached an extra 3 inchs of vacum hose to it. Made it lots easier to hook up.
If you have a Parker Hannifan(sp?) or other industrial hose/hydrallic dealer near. You can get a 4mm to 1/8" npt adaptor and then stick a 1/4" hose barb with matching 1/8" npt fitting on that. Then make the extension hose as long as you want, at least thats what I did. :o
