To answer your question, without actually measuring them, the primaries are comparable in length to the American Racing setup.. but as I mentioned before I believe the real benefit one of these "high dollar" setups is the collector.
I think these headers are great for someone looking to pick up a little and have that header sound. But I would not put them on the same level as these other setups.
Thanks, and Thank you for all your posts on these.
Not a problem... I think it helps to hear comments from someone who has installed them and I am not tied to any of the companies so I hope my comments are unbiased as well.
Would I buy them for one of my cars.. probably not.
Would I install them again.. for sure.
I think it is hard to beat from a bang for the buck perpective.
but I would venture to guess the performance gain is also not equal. but may be proportional.
Maybe, but we compared these headers to some of the popular sets and it seemed to work out. These headers are exactly like the Dynatech system, but it doesnt have a flange welded onto the collector. The Stainless Works set everyone compates these to are a little different since the primaries are longer.

Some headers just have longer tubes, but these are still long tube headers - along with TPIS and AR, etc..
If you are looking for the headers that make the most power, i dont think you should be looking at these - but you could easily make up the power with the money saved
What could we really be leaving on the table, 10hp?

I think in general it would depend on the modifications the vehicle.. but yes I agree with your statement.
The comparison of short, mid, and long tube and the effect of each on performance gets way deeper into mass flow and harmonic extraction than I can do anymore. Long tube offer maximum improvement at one rpm band, mid tube at another and probably at a different improvement level. Same for shorties. It would be really neat to see a dyno curve for the ebay headers and some other long tube brand to see where the response is.
It looks pretty close to the ebay header, since the primaries are shorter as well as the collector being a slip-in type.
Back up the thread a few places I alluded to the fact that the ebay headers looked like a knock off of a well known brand. TPIS was the one I thought was copied.
I have a 2002 z06 and the passenger airtube is not bent for the #8 cylinder! Can I cut and couple the pipe with a silicon hose?? Are the temps too high for the hose? I was also thinking a long metal hose clamp. Any help would be appriciated!!

Looks very nice Ebay can have some real nice deals on Corvette parts. Some of the stuff Is crap though. Looks like you bought a nice set of headers...Nice job & thanks for sharing
I used a pipe wrench to grip the pipe and sort of bent the end with my hands. It was a big pain in the *** and took alot of time. You will kink the pipe some, but try not to collapse it. It ended up looking like a sideways 'S'. If you plan on getting a tune, you can probably remove the assembly completely and tune it out. If you know how to weld, you can shorten the pipe and weld it of course
