Default High speeds

does anybody else have this problem. no matter what speed im at I can hear wind coming in my passenger window seal. It gets louder the faster i go. and when i get up to around 160mph the wind like comes under the window and the window like gets off track. and i have to roll my window down and back up to get it back on track. is it the window seal or what? I cant get over 140mph now with out it trying to come out.

While I in no way condone these speeds unless you are on a track, when windows should be down anyway, it sounds like the window clip needs to be adjusted. At speed the window pulls outward due to vacuum around the car.

If you have a dealer do it, tell 'em it happens at 70mph.

lol... im not bragging. all z06's have the potential to go that fast or faster. im just saying i drive fast. if i have a open road and im by myself i like to push limits. i just dont want my window falling out at that speed. and i dont like the windows down at that speed.

Same issue here. I have read before on the forum there is a way to adjust how far the window goes up when it closes. Someone will surely chime in and tell you how to adjust the window. Although mine has never been pulled off track even at those speeds. Good luck and keep me informed on how it works out because I will have to be doing the same process when I get a free moment!! Thanks, Dan

fyi : Window adjustment

Minor (use this procedure when the window height is off less than 0.12in or 3mm.)

1- Open the door and remove the small front access plug and the rear access plug from the underside of the door.

2- Adjust the front and the rear window regulator jack screws equally.

3- Close the door and check the window alignment.

4- Open the door and install the access plugs.

Major.

1 remove door trim panel.

2- Reconnect the window switch to the harness

3- Raise the door window

4- Remove the window clamp sight access plug

5- Loosen the window clamps

6- Close the door

7- With the aid of an assistant standing outside of the vehicle position the window to the door opening.

8- From the inside of the vehicle tighten the window clamp

9- Open the door and install the window clamp sight access plugs

10- Install the door trim panel.

11- Perform minor height and minor tip-in adjustments as necessary.

I agree adjust it because even at 165 plus it should be tight

Dealer service history on mine showed the prev. owner took it in a few times for this.. and it still leaks at interstate speeds.

I found that if I put the AC on recirculate, it goes away.

I love driving fast. i usually keep my windows up b/c i love hearing that engine roar with out all the wind. but if it keeps my windows from falling out at high speeds i guess it is worth it. but right now im not worried about it i had a flat tire. and i gotta wait to get my new ones. so i plugged it and wont so over 70mph...lol...
