Aaaahhh....gotcha. Well I drove my car today and there was no P0410 code but a P1415 code (AIR system bank 1). This mean I have a check valve problem too?
I drove it again yesterday and no PCM codes at all this time. Do you guys think I might still have a check valve problem? If I do, how much does a new one cost?
I haven't had a chance to do the pin pull test yet. What could it be if it doesn't have something to do with the connection? Would a bad wheel bearing make those codes (1225, 1226) show up?
mine has been doing the 0410 code for some time now. after a few GOOD functions it will shut its light off. but after 2 consecutive BAD functions it goes back on. usually a week or so. i also am having a issue with my abs/ traction system. that light started a few wks ago. shortly after having the steering lock latest recall done. my computer was flashed with the new program dumping my tune. i dont know for sure if that is related to the now cabs/traction light. the 0410 code has been a pain for me since a header install months ago. i have checked everything except take the battery out to look at the vaccum hose. my check valves have been replaced. the rear one is NOT fun. my service contract is paying the bill on these so...... i guess i let them keep replacing stuff for free. when its all been replaced i guess i'll check that little vaccum line and be good. the mech did just tell me yesterday that the yellow vert that was parked next to mine the other day had a bad line from a leaky battery....... i asked him to check that several weeks ago when his fix number three failed. if he would just not be so by the book/ tech computer. he could probably have solved this for me for ever ago. oh well... guess it keeps my car inside while i am at work. good luck with the codes and let us know if the 410 comes back.
I had the same problem on my 2000. Tracked it down to another common problem.... leaky battery. There is a vacuum line that runs from the passenger side fender just in front of the door, under the battery tray, and to the AIR pump on the drivers side. A few days after replacing my bad battery and cleaning up the mess it made, my check engine light came on and threw the P0410 code. The vacuum line runs inside a wire loom which retained some acid and ate right through it. It’s fairly easy to find after removing the battery. All I had to do was cut out the bad section and splice in some new vacuum hose. Hope this helps.
I got the 0410 code to go away by replacing the relay. I drove the car for a couple days and had no PCM codes. The next day I drove it and I had a 1415 code. The 1415 code just comes on randomly now. Some days when I'm driving it I won't have any PCM codes and then another day I'll have a 1415. The PCM code isn't really that much of a big deal to me anymore. I know what I have to do to fix the 1415. It's the 1225 and 1226 that drive me nuts. I was curious if anyone knew what the problem would be if it was a worn out connector? And, say it is a worn out connector, does anyone sell a pigtail to replace it?
The wheel bearing would need to be ready to fall off to effect the wheel speed sensor! Most likely not the problem. I have the part number for the front harness pig tail connector. It's a GM part number: 15306302. You better bring gold with you cause it around $25.
I tried to order the rear connector but they coulfny hrlp me. Im still researching. I got a leed on who makes the pins for the connectors: It is Kent Moore. Google that name and see what you find. They came out of tray #19 and thepart # is 15326269.
