How would you go about building a daily driver c5 that you'd also use for Time Attacks?
I'm thinking of swapping in the Lingenfelter forged 403 LS2 as a starting point, but I'm not really sure where to go from there.
Right now I'm just looking at the power aspect of it (at least, as far as this thread is concerned - I AM thinking about the suspension end of things as well, but thats a seperate discussion).
So, how would you build a good time attack car without sacrificing good daily driveability (heavy-traffic driving)?

I think the LPE engine mods will be good and they have an excellent reputation, but I think power will probably be the least of you worries. Heavy emphasis on the correct suspension, including tires, will go a long way here. I have seen a lot of very powerful cars outrun on a track that involves "twisties" or cornering, by another who has the better suspension/tire set-up.

Time attack?? Not familure with that term.
Maybe we should divide the forum up into subsections. We could have C5 General, younger members
C5 General, older members
C5 Tech, younger
C5 Tech, older
etc etc

What? You mean I can't take old grandfather clocks out into the woods and fill them full of bullet holes?

I spend most of my time in the Auto-X and Road Racing forum, so I dont under stand which wax works better either
But I can tell you when younger KIDS show up on the road race circuit we OLD dudes put the young kinds to shame. Also the bigger the engine and more HP the slow they go, IF they even finish that is
