what would cause
the right had wheel gap between the wheel and fender to be 1/2" smaller than the left had side. Car is on a level surface and was lowered to the same height 4 years ago
I was going to post about this when I could get good pix. I got a new runcrap delivered. I saw it would arrive the following day so I removed the dead runcrap/wheel combo and left the car on a stand overnight. Anyway, tire remounted, wheel reinstalled and now the right side ( jacked side ) is almost 1 inch higher. Noticed it before I measured it so I don't think it was like this before. 2 months later still high.
Its entirely possible that when shipping by truck transport your particular car had fallen off the transport carrier!! Following the incident, it was pulled back inside at BG & 2 shop monkeys with BFH's simply "corrected" the problem by persuading the bent frame back into place.
Possibly the end-link on the sway bar moved or the sway bar bushings are dry / sticking, causing it lever the car side to side? You could also check to make sure the spring hasn't de-laminated, or that something isn't up with the adjuster rubber pad or the shock itself.

What would cause this? Unions! Like the United Auto Workers Union.
Could it be the spring is starting to weaken on the right more then the left? Fact is that the right side take more abuse then the left due to crowns in the roads, debris etc. Could manufacture defect in spring starting to show. (one side being weaker the the other) Working with a fleet of over 10,000+ for over 20 years have seen these issues like this come up. Check and make sure the car is level (with a known good level) then start measuring very close and recording every point to point and you will find it somewhere. Hope this helps.
