Dynatech for $1299.00
I was at the Blooming gold in Illinois about a month ago and one of the venders had the Dynatech on sale for $1290.00 shipped and $99.00 for the jet coating.I called Scott this morning and he will still honor the price if we have a GP so if anybody wants in call scott at All Horse Power.com . If you need the number pm me and I will give it to you we need about 15 members so lets get this deal before it goes away.

You know that I had to take a look into this... The company mentioned doesn't seem to be a vendor here. They need to get over to the Corvette Forum to put some $ into it. This helps keep this site running and also doesn't make the supporting vendors feel like we are paying for nothing... Their site seems really basic (like one page with no product listing or links) and the answering machine keeps saying that nobody is available. We're a warehouse distributor for Dynatech (have been for many years) so I know they are losing $ being selling them for $1299. shipped. Losing even more money with the $99. Jet Hot added in. Sometime doesn't seem right here.

Dynatech (the manfacturer) also thinks there is something wrong here. Yeah, we'd like the business there is no way we're going to lose money. I'll have to sign up for a set at this price
Actually, I tried calling a few times but kept getting an answering machine. A woman answered the phone the last time I tried. She said he might be outside or doing some errands so I told her I'd call back later.

Seems fishy... i'm happy with TByrne, and we've got 6 or more orders i believe, lets pull this one through to 15!
I thought Scott wanted 15 orders?

GL,
Dan
nate@corvettegarage emailed me w/ a lower price...free shipping ...and only 10 orders required........hmmmm 10years in business and previous gp w/great service and quick email responses.......hmmmm save money...less orders needed same quality service....what do you guys think ???
I am not part of this purchase, but I think not buying from a forum vendor who make this happen every day for the rest of us is not a nice thing. Sorry, but I have been on this forum since the beginning and my car used to grace the top of the C4 forum. I reallly think that supporting a forum vendor, especially one who seemed to spent a lot of time trying to set this up with you guys and Dynatech, is the right thing to do here.

Well said - which is why i'm quite satisfied with TByrne's price! :-)

Somebody needs to read the rules on selling through the Forum. I think a moderator will be locking this thread very shortly.
Please note rule number 1.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. No commercial sales unless by a supporting Vendor.

I wonder how (or even if) the rule might affect this.
:
i'm not part of any of these header gp's but have been following the threads on it.the guy over at tbyrnes has been running trying to pull this off for everyone, lays down price/ground rules, everybody agrees, done deal and business agrees.now all of a sudden other vendors[1 not being a forum supporter]come up and offer the same thing AFTER this guy commits to it and the ball begins to roll [orders being placed],NOW it looks like he's going to be left with the bag.
not to cool.if his deal tanked[not enough orders, etc]THEN i could see going with the others, but not before.i don't think it was too cool for the other vendors to offer the same deal on the same product at the same time another supporting vendor offered the same thing first, regardless of price[maybe a theory the mods should look at,if there is no forum/vendor guideline on something like this].

I think we're ("We're" being TByrne's offer... which is in the other threads...) at 7 - i really hope this doesn't tank now...

:Gentlemen- I have to agree with the above. I've been a U.S. soldier for 12 years and I fight for freedom (sure isn't the pay). Freedom to purchase from the lowest bidder. No one or site is going to tell me who or how I can spend my $$. Just because your a forum vendor doesn't make you are your products GOD. People being able to help each other, may be techincal knowledge or finding the lowest price is what makes this site so great. Why take that away?? Just my view.

:Not directly, but FOR a business, not an individual who happens to be a Forum member. I guess on the Mods will have to deal with it. I just hate to see when the participating vendors get screwed by another vendor that does not support the Forum. I mean, those of us who are supporting members and the supporting vendors (those that actually give money for the Forum to keep operating) are the ones who make this site available for EVERYONE, even those that do not pay to keep this site alive.

So, soldier to soldier, it is COOL not to follow orders or abide by the by-laws of an orgnization you are a member of?? Wonder what your CO would think of that?
BTW, my son will be returning from Iraq in December if all goes well.
