front wheel bearings a common problem?
My son has just replaced both front wheel bearings on his 99 frc. There is only 47000 miles on the car and I am just curious if that is the norm or is there a reason to check this car over a little more thoroughly. He bought it with 36000 miles on it. Thanks for any help you guys cna offer.

I have opinions on this matter... My FRC has 30K on it now and I believe I'm hearing the beginings of bearing "rumble", aka failure.
It seems to me the size of bearing used for our application is probably marginal, esp. considering the stock wheel offset and the size of wheels and tires we run, the level of grip they offer. All that adds up to these components not lasting very long.
Track day junkies seems to go through them with regularity.
