Default Clutch Pedal Spring

How do you put the spring back in? With my new clutch setup my pedal is really hard to push in. Its hard enough that its messing up my shifting speeds, so Im gonna try the spring again.

The trick is to depress the clutch pedal while re-inserting the spring.. Use a lenght of wood between the pedal and the edge of the seat bracket to hold it down while you work.

Cool, I will give it a try. I may need a 2x4 as stiff as the pedal feels

You did all this to the pedal on the left side, right? And you're not pushing the dead pedal, right?

Hook the spring on the left eyehole first and back of the pedal bar area it rests in, then push the pedal in and using needlenose pliers grab the right side of the spring and guide it in the right side hole, its failry easy.

Trust me, when I was first trying to re-instasll the spring I gave up after 30 minutes and a 5 lbs of sweat.

Then I got back under and figured there must be an easier way and it went right on as explained above. The trick was getting the middle of the spring centered in the recess on the back of the pedal bar, then hooking the left side first, THEN pushing pedal in with a long driver with left hand while needlenose pliering the right side of spring in.

ummm yea I think thats how I did it.
