Default textralia clutch question

Had one installed about 2k miles ago. At first real rough with normal steet driving now smoothed out. Presently and worse when everything not at complete operating temp but sounds like it slips when driving normally. Just a little squeel as you engage clutch when taking off. If driving the car hard clutch is perfect. Holds great and never slips. Sometimes though the clutch will appear little bit rough at you engage during normal driving. Has anyone experienced simular situation? Advise will be greatly appreciated. rwmcmi@aol.com

Thanks in Advance

I'm having the same experience. 1,300 miles on my Textralia clutch. To avoid chatter, I have to leave at either very low rpm's, on the edge of stalling, or have the rpms up over 2k and do a quicker release, which is fine until you have a passenger that either thinks you're showing off or can't drive. I also get a squeal/howl sometimes on release - seems more likely to happen at cooler operating temperatures.

No complaints on the holding power though, and no feeling of slipping under normal driving conditions.

This is high on my list for a new clutch so I am interested in these normal driving experiences.

we have installed quite a few in the last two years with great results. The most important part in my opnion is the first 100 miles. I try and tell people that you really cant slip it too much and you cant dump it either. Its hard trying to find the sweet spot but the better you break it in, the better the clutch will feel down the road. In some temperatures they can make some noise but its normal. If anyone has any questions at all about any unusual characteristics they might be experiencing, feel free to give me a call.
