I just changed my harmonic balancer with an asp and now I keep getting "active handling warming up!" After about 15 mins of driving it will tell me "service engine soon" and "service active handling" How do I fix this?
I Have Codes That I Pulled From The Dic As Well
10 Pcm 1571h,1626h,1644h
60 Ipc Bo54h,u1040h
80 Radio U1016h
Ao-ld Cm U1064h
A1 Rdcm U1064h
Can Anyone Help With These Codes
Hey JC, I get 1233 and 1283. I know 1233 is the RF wheel sensor and I checked it and greased it. Whenever I punch it from about 60 and up the abs and traction control warnings come up. Before I greased it, it would come up at low speeds too but now only at higher speeds.I cant find what 1283 is. I'm gonna take a look at what Dan the Man suggested.

I'll need to check the service manual, but I believe 1283 is related to the steering sensor. It's located at the base of the steering column just above the brake pedal - it's connector is at 9 o'clock.
Check that the connector is on firmly. It would also be related to the Active Handling Warming Up message.
Even after greasing the RF sensor connectors, what codes are you getting - still the same? The sensor cables have connectors at two ends - one near the wheel and one near the lower A-arm joint towards the engine. Make sure both connectors are clean and apply a bit of dielectric grease. If your're still getting a wheel sensor warning then one of the wires in the cable could be cracked resulting in an intermittent condition.

C1283 - Excessive Time to Center Steering
Is it possible you rotated the steering wheel in relation to where it was before the balancer install?
Did you know that the steering position sensor "knows" where it is in relation to the steering wheels' position / full travel, i.e. you can't disconnect the steering rack, rotate the steering wheel 360 degrees and re-connect w/o creating an issue. Another consern is you could potentially damage the "clock spring" / air-bag wiring by turning the wheel too many revolutions in the wrong direction.
There are a few methods to correct if you think this may have occurred (one is at the dealer with a Tech 2, the other is utilizing a DVM on a specific wire to monitor the 5V DC signal emanating from the steering wheel position sensor; if you were un-aware of this potential pit-fall, I'd be willing to put money that the orientation was disturbed).
