Incompatible
The 97-2000 and 2001-2004 use non-compatible tire pressure sensors which operate on the door locking component of the BCM. There are no upgrades for a 97 to the 2001-04 sensors. You can re-program them for the applicable car year and sensor.

The tire sensors AND the keyless entry fobs both transmit to a receiver that takes both signals and sends appropriate codes to the BCM.
If you wanted to change the receiver (Why the h*** would you) you would have to get new key fobs and reprogram the BCM. Might be possible but not very practicle. 97-00 use one frequency and 00 and later another.
