Default Cam Experts, Come In

Ok I have a 99 M6 Coupe. I have a G5X3 112 cam in my closet. I want something bigger! I know its a awesome cam, but I want more power out of a cam. My best friend has a 2000 M12 Coupe and has that cam and LT's and a tune and made 405 rwhp. Long live the ole silver (stolen and dumbed in a lake 11/25/06) Thats awesome power, but I want more. Its not a daily driver but I do drive it when I have a chance only on sunny days. Please help on suggestions and other opinions. Thanks Everyone!

If your looking for power you'd be better off doing some good heads with that Cam along with every bolt-on.A bigger Cam might net 5-15hp at high rpm but drivability suffer's(sometimes alot).

Final rwhp depends on how strong the motor is to start with.I've had as much as 30rwhp swings from cars running the same exact bolt-on's with the same exact Cam.

Oh ok. Thanks, Yea Im getting some LG Pro LT's here ina few weeks, amnd then adventually get some good heads. I made some good power with just exhaust and no cats. So Im hoping for some good power gains out of the cam. Thanks for the info!

The 853 head castings on your car are not that great. Keep that cam and get a set of Patriot CNC LS6 heads that are on sale right now for $995. Once you have the front of the motor apart either for the head swap or cam swap, there is really not much more labor to do the other... Should net you 420-430rwhp or so...

Who out there has these heads, and how do they compare to AFR 205s or MTI Stage 2Es heads???
