Default Question about Codes...

Looking at buying an 01 Z06- there are several "H" codes on the DIC- none of which show current nor does the owner suggest any current issues...

Here is the list:

U1064 Loss of Communications with DCM (No State of Health Message)

U1000 Loss of Communication Undetermined -RFA

B2282 Battery #1 Fault DCM-LEFT

B2283 Battery #1 Fault DCM-RIGHT

B2284 Battery #2 Fault DCM-LEFT

B2285 Battery #2 Fault DCM-RIGHT

Nothing I see stands out as being show stopping...just checking to see if anyone else notices something lurking!

Not sure what battery fault DCM refers to though...

Thanks!

***does any of this mean the EBCM is bad? or indicate the engine will fall out when I hit the first bump? LoL!

From my limited knowledge of the codes, it looks like they may all have been caused by disconnecting the battery and not clearing codes afterwards.

Also 1214 is the most common code to see prior to or during EBCM failure.

DCM="Door Control Module"; those are the black boxes sitting in the door panels that control windows and locks.

Nothing in your list is any cause for consern.

Not quite, the door control modules are shown as LDCM and RDCM for left door control module and righht door control module, there is another mocule thats listed as SDM for sensing and diagnostic control module.

That being said if I were to take a guess I'd say the charge on the battery is low or the battery was just replaced. I'd erase the codes and see what happens.

These were in the LDCM\RDCM section on the DIC...

the TCS section showed the U1000H and U1064H
