Default codes

well cleared the codes last night and after driving to work this am and letting it sit a bit and then driving another time down the rode and back these are the following codes that the car is throwing:

10-PCM P1637H
40-BCM B2528H
60-IPC U1160H
99-HVAC U1160H
A0-LDCM B2282H
B2284H
A1-RDCM 2283H
2285H
A6-SCM B0851H
B0-RFA U1255H

I know that all of these are history codes but that is about it, can you tell me anything else as to the insite of what might be the problem with the battery drain? Car is a 2000 coupe.... new battery, clean and greased grounds, alternator tested and fine.... but if the car sits for more than a day it is dead....

thanks guys...

Thomas

He is talking BCM (body cont module) not BSM (body side molding). $50 bucks is a great deal, as list from GM new is closer to $350

The BCM is NOT a plug and play module!!! You will either have to use the sync procedure to sync it to your PCM or have someone do it with the TechII.

$50. is a steal if it is a good unit!!

Additionally with a BCM replacement it is necessary to set RPO configuration with the Tech2 as well as relearn the theft deterrant. The theft deterrant can be "learned" ala manual mode by 3 ten minute key cycles, but the RPO configuration needs to be done with Tech2...

Whats wrong with this car that needs a BCM, a parasitic drain issue ??? Monitor amperage in series with ground cable @ battery and start pulling fuses and relays. This can be done with a digital multimeter, or a test light. I think I would pull the SCM-L fuse first which should be fuse #4 in the fuse block on the passenger floor. This circuit is hot at all times and is related to your B0851 code.

Look Out this is trouble.
there is no way to check out this part so if you buy you stand a very good chance it is a bad part. No one sells a 350 part at 50. I know it is at xmas buy please don't be fooled by a bargin price. I replaced mine because of a water leak, fred beans sold me the new part under 200 and a chevy dealer installed for 40
thanks Sully

I agree. My first "new" ECBM didn't work, so I got it replaced. You don't have that option with a second-hand part.
