Ok My Bad .. Wrong Code PO430 I believe is the correct one.... But if It Is The Bank 2 Problem ... Which 02 Sensor Is That??
Bank 2 is the passenger side, it would be helpful to post the correct code, will tell us if it's front or rear. As previously stated, rear O2's won't cause the issues you are having.
i believe the 02's will because when the codes cleared the car runs like a champ. when the code comes on the motor is running way rich. im changing my plugs, but i dont think thats the problem. i know its my 02's becuase before the swap the car ran perfect.
On some C5's, unless the cylinder misfire is severe or happening over a long period of time, it wont set a DTC code. It will however, cause the check engine light to "FLASH" while the event is happening. Some advanced tuning software will tell you the exact cylinder expierencing the problem. If it does set the misfire DTC, it will be a P 0300 code.
my engine light comes on and stays on so i dont think that could be the problem... im just gunna go with the 02 sensor and shoot from there. i appreciate all the help!!

P0430 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2
This is the right-hand side (passenger) rear (after cat) O2 sensor.. BUT, that doesn't mean it's "defective", and replacing it will not necessarily solve your issue. This is not to say that you don't have an issue with a front O2, or a spark plug, or plug wires, etc.
im not replacing it.. im going to my tuner saturday to have him delete the 02's in the rear. my plug wires are new and so the only thing im going to replace are my spark plugs. with ngk tr55gp's.
well i found out my problem... the stock plugs are gapped to far. i installed some ngktr55's at .050 gap and they work perfectly. im having no more misfiring or sputtering at WOT. thanx for the help guys

Excellent result! That must have been quite a gap! If they are the original GM plugs, the platinum pucks probably fell off, which is why the gap was excessive. For the record, most of us do not re-gap the NGK's; as long as they all look the same (no one dropped them in the box, etc.), they are plug and play.
