Default Electrical Gremlins

I have having a couple of issues that I am hoping are all being caused by the same thing.

1) My active handling engages at odd times while driving straight (I've seen threads talking about a sensor in the dash that may be out of alignment, but

2) My right front driving light and turn singal go out occasionally. I was driving home today and the turn signal in front did not work, but after I parked in the garage for 30 minutes and started the car again, it worked - this has happened several different times

3) I've been getting HVAC codes consistently, dealing with the actuator or vent thing leading to the driver side (can't remember the exact code).
edit: it is B0363 - left actuator

Car info: 2004 coupe MN6. Original Delco battery - bought car new.

I have looked at the grounds and they appear clean.

Can all these symptoms be linked? Could my battery be trying to die? Anybody else experience something like this?

I do still have a warranty, but I hate the dealership - they take a long time and I ony have one car, so I have to leave it and rent another.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

You could have an issue with the steering wheel position sensor. Look at the DIC codes (if any).

The turn signals utilize the hazard switch for operation; this switch is notorious for intermittent contact issues. One solution is to "cycle" the hazard switch off/on several times. Usually fixes it for a while. When that fails, replace the switch.

There is a TSB on HVAC door positioning issues; try a search, I'm short on time (THE WIFE), can't post a link.

Check the codes but take it to the dealer. Get everything out of them you can. Not sure why they couldn't do this in one day??? If they need to order parts they can give you the car back and have you come back again. They should be able to provide you with courtesy transportation while working on the car. I don't know any dealers in my area that don't provide courtesy transportation for their customers.

The dealer I like is too far away from my work for them to transport and they ony have half staff on weekends, so it is difficult to get anything done then.

Anyway, I guess I'll have to take it in Monday to check things out. I kinda figured that would be the case, but I was holding out hope for a "that's easy to fix, just change ____."

Thanks for the input.

Sounds like you may be having an EBTCM issue on that active handling problem.

The key to getting good service is to communicate well with the service person. Take him for a ride and show him your issues. What you think you told them, most of the time is NOT what they hear! It SUCKS to here them tell you. "We found NOTHING wrong and could not duplicate any of your issues!

Ask the service manager who there C5 specialist is! If there is one or more people who have been specifically trained to repair C5's ask for that person to work on your car! Sometimes it will cause you to have to come back for that person but,, most of the time,,,its worth it.

Good luck!
