Reduced Power without Code???
My car has never been able to break the rear tires loose under full out acceleration (even with traction control - OFF) never any codes.
Is this normal???
Try nailing the throttle while turning from a dead stop (while entering an intersection), observe the result.
Even with traction control on, the rear wheels will still spin before the TCS systems shuts the party down.
If you are trying this straight ahead from a dead stop, and have decent tires, and your motor is stock, you may simply need more H.P.
P.S. You are part of the Posse', yes?

) and believe that you have an automatic tranny.Try this (any bad results are your fault for following this advice
) ..Find a nice open paved area (a school parking lot on a weekend is often a good fit)
Turn OFF Traction Control
Stop car and with LEFT foot on the brake pedal (hard)
Pick an "aiming point" straight ahead of you and keep your eyes on it no matter what happens (this will keep you steering in the "correct" direction no matter which way the car goes).
Use your right foot to bring engine RPM to 2000
Remove LEFT foot from brake pedal
HANG ON !! If it gets too crazy, remove RIGHT foot from accelerator and let car come back under control before applying brake ... but always keep your eyes on the aiming point and keep steering towards it.
Finally, leave test area ASAP as some busy-body will undoubtably call the local constabulary, especially if you try this manuever more than once.
If cop catches you, try my excuse ... car threw a P0911 code and service manual requires a burnout to clear the code ....

Now that freken halarious!!!!!
You made my night! Im going to have to steal that one!
