Column Lock
Been driving with the column lock error messege for a six weeks now. Steering wheel has never locked up. I have to clear the messege everytime I start the car and it is getting annoying. Should I be fearfull?

Yep,,check and see if you can turn the wheel with the ignition OFF and key removed. If you can, you have has some of the recalls done or you already have a CLB. Check your DTC's. If you have any BCM or PCM DTC's as history, you will need to clear them!

Go to “technical data base” and then to “Corvette ECM Computer Codes”. Then select your year car. Read the instructions and then scroll down to the "READ MORE" window to view the code definitions.\

Make sure to include the H or C suffix!!
Something else that will effect the Column lock operation is a low charged or bad 12 VDC battery. make sure your battery is fully charged and working correctly. Have it tested at AutoZone.
