Default LS1 / LS6 engine differences?

What are the parts that are different between the LS1 and the LS6 in 2002?
ie: pistons, cam, valves/springs, intake, ecu, etc...

Thanks.

LS1: 241 head casting, stainless solid valves, LS1 valve springs (lower spring rate)

LS6: 243 head casting, sodium filled exhaust, hollow stem intake valves, LS6 valve springs

Cam is different.

Block can be different but the LS6 block started being used for the LS1 as well.

First two weeks of production the LS6 got the Napier piston rings, the LS1 got them after the first two weeks of production.

Both have the same coated pistons that were introduced in March 2001.

This is what I remember

In other words..cam, heads and intake. So if you want to same millions of dollars just do the heads, cam and intake on your LS1 and you'll have twice the engine the LS6 is for a tenth of the price.

You could same the exhaust manifolds are different, but that isnt considered part of the engine assembly...by most any ways.

Since his question was specific to the 02, I would say the intake is the same although the air filter housing has a larger hole in it.

Default Ls1 / Ls6

The intake is the same on all LS1/LS6 motors 2001 and up.

I think that the MAF was 85mm for the LS6 and 78mm for the LS1?

Wasn't the Z06 (LS6) airbox different also?

does anyone have dynocharts that show both of these engines in stock configuration? How does the torgue and hp graph out, similiar or way different. I know that the peak hp is higher on the LS6 but would like to see how the power curves compare.
