When driving my 2000 coop at 40mph, if I floor it the car spins sideways out of control. Anybody have this problem? It's an auto.
Cutting through the flames here
If the TCS is working it really should counteract that. Do you have any DIC codes? That may tell you if there's a TCS problem. And, do you have active handling?
If the traction control doesn't act fast enough to stop it from spinning another way to reduce the spinning at upshift or downshift is to add % to the torque management---Most people take most of it out to give them some extra kick however on some cars--especially modded ones some should be left alone or increased--For example on my modded '98 A4 when drag racing I have to add about 10% above the stock setting in 1st to keep it from spinning itself out--Stock is about 28% and I kept adding % until it just barks them a touch-- Ended up about 36%--At 1st when i had it at the stock setting--it spun out and i just missed backing it into a tree at the 1-2 shift !!!!------Be careful--
Cold roads & Run craps is my guess why you are spinning
Yes, it's the tires. I've gone through a few sets. Worn tires easily cause the rear end to go out of control when punching it at 40 MPH.
If you've got this problem, it will also spin the tires when shifting from 1st to 2nd when keeping it floored. It gets really exciting when you're going around a slight curve during the shift.
