Same thing happens on a Vert. at 150 mph. Very unnerving so I go with the top down more fun anyway.
i hit 200,on the juice, (i have a Z51 spec) and it felt rock solid! the HUD diplayed only ('00) when i did it... there is a good piece of trivia for ya guys you can call BS on a person if they say there HUD said 200 moh.

Mine indicates up to 299mph, if I could go that fast.
More trivia for you. It will read: 200. Only the 2 will be on the upper left, instead of the lower left, as I typed.
Go ahead try it again with the juice. For those of you w/o juice, just pust the Metric button. Then you just got to take it up to 200kmph (125mph).

Which is really stupid, because you have to look really hard, and squint really hard, but it you look long enough you can barely see that tiny little 2. Just what you need to be doing at 200MPH!
it's a stock suspension (98 hatch/coupe) with T1 swaybars... At around 140 it seems to float alot... i feel like i'm driving one of those racing sailboats...

There is a way to adjust the window up, I have the link at home, I will try to remember to post it later. Vince, 190? shoulda kept it pegged till you hit the 200! The ittle black tab should help though!
Adjust the window blow out clip. The black thing in the middle at the top of the window. It should be about 4mm from the glass when closed. You can bend it with taps from a rubber mallet.

Either that or a small person with suction cups attached to his butt.
Obviously a manufacturing defect... I would take it back to a Chevy dealer and ask for the recall fix for this...... I am sure it is a common problem and the dealer will happily fix it.......

.....aaaahhh Tried that once when i guy tried to race me at 2am let him go at 80mph in his PIMPED UP CIVIC or was it an ACURA couldn`t see when i passed him with 165mph it all seemed like a black dot to me...but 190 hmmmm i`m up for that challenge but don`t know how`s it gonna be w/stock suspension and engine might see lots of dots then.
If your C5 doesn't inspire confidence at 140+, something is wrong with it. No hyperbole, just the truth.
Edited: unless perhaps you have a base suspension. I've never had one of those at speed, but at normal speeds the one I drove seemed pretty soft. Try at least a Z51 spec, Z06 is better still.
Bone stock with base suspension and hit 170+ many times. It was stable.
At speed, the car crouches.
The exception is on grooved roads. Forget about any speed of any kind. 80+ on a grooved highway and my car is all over the road. I hate it and its scary. Get a good smooth and flat road and the C5 does fine at speed.
