WOW! That's fantastic.

We did my LS1 and it's 415+ at RWHP and 400 RWTQ and it's a beast.

Yours must be a lot of fun!

What gears are you running on it?

Thanks,Matt

Problem is, I cant find one. I dont think I need such a large spread on the exhaust side as say a Gen 1 SBC, because the exhaust flows so much better...so I figured I would limit the intake and exhaust duration split to 8 degrees. Naturally a 114 for good idle quality, and I wanted at least 600 lift so keep me better in the range of the better flow numbers. Also wanted duration to give me a tad more topend and not quite as much lowend (there is MORE than enough ) Problem is, I cant find a cam that meets all that criteria, and I would rather use a tried and true cam, so I decided to find the closest popular cam around that has been used with a combo similar to mine.

Maybe I'm not thinking right. I'm tired...ought to take a hint lol

Maybe I should go with instinct and get a custom grind. However, I dont know which comp LS1 lobes are good, and which are CRAP. I heard the XE-R lobes are good but I want to make sure they arent harsh on the valvetrain either. I'll be using stock L92 rockers. Not to mention, not many folks know alot about the L92 CNC ported heads yet, at least none I know of, to the point which I trust them with grinding me a cam. And, I dont necessarily trust the comp guys, they seem to select cam profiles out of a catalog of lobes and grind them into a cam, rather than design a custom cam to the application from scratch.

I got burned on a 'custom' cam before, so I know the only way to get a true custom is to call and ask questions. Seems nowadays 'custom' is another word for 'not in the catalog' and not really 'custom to your application'.

On a lighter note, I cant wait to get mine running, hehe
