I dont know if this is the same problem...but when I start from a dead stop I get a slight grinding noise. When I idle with the clutch in its OK, but when I apply the gas and let out the clutch I get the grinding. Th clutch doesnt seem to go down further, I just get the terrible noise. I dont think I can handle the bleeding thing....any suggestions?
My situation doesnt sound as bad as the earlier posts, but I dont want it to get too bad.

Thanks
That sounds like a bad throw-out bearing. Does it do it in neutral with the clutch out?

Well Tomorrow Car goes to Napa I will post up the results.
Napa just called Slave is KIA squirting clutch fluid in the bell housing, I hope it hasn't ruined the friction plate of the clutch, dealer qouted be 491 to fix the cam sensor, Napa 111 bucks. Dealer 1300 in labor for a new rear main, napa is about 610 in labor to replace the slave. 1100 bill total This Sunday I will align the shifter.
No. In neutral, clutch in or out its fine. Even in gear with clutch engaged its fine, just when I add gas/disengage the clutch it sound terrible.
Just got back from the shop.....its a bad slave cylinder and clutch is gone...Ouch! He said the needle bearing let go and the input shaft was rattling making the terrible noise
Does anyone know if the slave cylinder bearing should be loose on the input shaft? The Tech told me he had to use emory cloth to rempove scratches on the input shaft and the bearing is loose, he said if I didnt get a new shaft(tranny) he couldnt guarantee the slave cylinder/bearing wount fail again soon. I think its BS beacuuse he just used emory cloth and not machined the shaft, they we scratches, not gouges
$20 says he is talking about the pilot bearing in the flywheel where the "input shaft" goes into. That would confirm the type of noise you are hearing.
