I just tried to start it up for the first time after the head swap and the temp guage is pegged out and the codes I got are P0118, P1636, P1638. It will not start unless it is floorboarded.
The coolant temp is reading 62*F but its so flooded that their is fuel in the oil.......Also, When I turn the key on the Fuel Pressure is about 60 PSI which is fine, but after a few seconds it drops to about 15 PSI. Could an injector be stuck open??

Just heads. The cam was already in. Everything is plugged back in. I have SVO 30# to put in but I know it wont run with those to long without a tune so I was just going to start it and make sure everything was fine before I went to have it tuned so the stock injectors are still in
Yeah I used the LS1HowTo as a guide but didnt use it all that much. I have doubled checked everyhting. All the injectors are definantly plugged in but we may take the intake back off to check if I forgot anything in the back. I dont think I did but I guess it doesnt hurt to check.
Thats a good start.. Perhaps it can be an air leak from underneath the intake .. Check the map and vacuum from behind the intake and make sure theyre plugged in. Either way, thats where I would start.

First you said the temp gage was pegged, then you say 62F?
I have had cars flood and fuel foul plugs when started without coolant due to false temp reading.
Did you pull plugs? If you have a stuck injector, you should be able to tell which one.
Turns out there were 2 problems. I also have nitrous and either some wiring is backwards making the silonoid stay open or it is time for a silonoid rebuild because that was causing it to lose fuel pressure. The second problem was the ECT sensor. It would read 62* first, then when we went back out this morning to check again it read -38...BINGO!! I changed it and it runs great without the nitrous lines hooked up to the end of the fuel rail. When I hook up the Nitrous system fuel line, it wont even start and almost floods out immediatly. At least it runs though
Glad you found it and its back running again. It can be frustrating after all that work to have a problem like that.
So did you install the AFR's, if so how do you like them? Which gasket did you go with?
Yes I did put the AFRs on but went with the GM MLS gasket. I havent had it tuned or anything yet or even driven it, just heard it idle. Thaks for all your help and advise. It really helped alot
Dont forget to change that oil!!! Glad you fixed it!
BC
Yeah I already drained the brand new oil because it was full of gas and refilled it with new. Now I just gota drive a little while and change it again. Thanks Bill I appreciate it
