Knocking (pinging) under acceleration
for a tune from a reliable tuner.
I don't think so because you get a code if your MAF and MAP values are more than 50% different from one another. In other words, if you are leaking from the bellows or throttle body area, your MAP would see more airflow in than the MAF. In this case, for it to be causing detonation, I would imagine you'd see quite a bit of a leak. My stock airbridge clamp was a POS and was leaking like a 70's Harley....but I threw a code on the second engine cycle as per the manual procedure.
Do you have any oil in your plastic airbridge or baffle? Would be interested to know.
If you have it in for something else, having them look at it at least gives you a warranty of sorts (they have to stand behind whatever they charge you for under a 12 month warranty....at least they used to).
Ford was all that was hiring. Still sold Pontiac at the time and I worked a few L98's over in my day
Good luck,
Cassidy
