With a properly charged and fully functioning battery, your C5 should be able to sit without a battery tender OR charger for at LEAST 30 days! If your going to store the car for longer than that, just disconnect the battery.
Pumping current into a battery for 3 months isn't the best thing for it. Unless you have a very sophisticated battery tender (they do make them) that only charges the battery when it needs it, your doing more harm to the battery than good.
If your C5 is only drawing the designed 20-25 milliamps of BCM sleep current, battery drainage should NOT be a problem. If someone is seeing the battery go flat in a week, theres a problem that needs to be resolved.
