Anyone Have Any Technical Info On Aluminum Radiators As To Which Design Is Better, The Round Tubes Or The Flat Tubes ? I Ordered The Dewitts Direct Replacement For My C5 And Did Not Know That It Is Made With The Flat Tubes. I Have A Ron Davis In My 68 Camaro Drag Car Which Has The Round Tubes, And I'm Just Wondering Which Tube Design Transfers Heat Better. Thanks In Advance.

To the best of my knowledge there is no aluminum radiators with round tubes
This is from the rondavisradiators.com website...all of the images of the tubes appear to be this design. I've never used a RON DAVIS radiator in my Corvette, but I've used two of his radiators in tri five Chevy modified cars. They're very high quality products. I believe DRM sells/uses only RON DAVIS products.
The Dewitt has been excelent for me in the summer AZ heat. Although the radiator alone is not the sole solution to running cooler. Besides a clean air flow to the radiator, you'll want to also consider, coolant mixture, thermostat, fan temp settings and increased airflow. There are a lot of threads on overheating issues.
I'm running a Dewitts w/ a left side 7-plate oil cooler, and have been for 15,000 miles now. It's a work of art and fit w/o any modifications other than trimming the fan shroud.
