Car won't start-Code BCM 2723
1) The DTC is set when the BCM detects a key with the incorrect resistance in the PASS-Key pellet
2) Once the DTC is set, the BCM starts a 3 minute timer. During that time, even if a valid key is inserted, the BCM will ignore it and continue the timer. Once the timer is finished, inserting a key with the correct pellet will start the car. Disconnecting the battery while the timer is running will not reset the system. When battery power is restored the timer starts again for the full three minutes, regardless of where it was when power was pulled.
Try using your second key to start the car. Clean both sides of the pellet, first by gently scrubbing with a pencil eraser, then cleaning with alcohol or electrical contact cleaner.
If the pellets are OK, the only other condition that will set this DTC is an open or short in the PASS-Key wiring.

If the pellets are good and the wires are good, the small wires inside ignition switch could be defective. That would require a new switch cylinder
