Default Valve Knocking!? (HELP!)

26k....there sounds to be what I think is some valve knocking. I use top grade Exxon gas, so it's not my gas, i'm pretty lost as to what this could be. Insight is greatly appreciated here guy...

If the noise is coming from the top end, I would guess you have a bent push rod or a collapsed lifter. Does the noise go away after the engine warms up? Sounds like you are still under warranty, I would take it to your dealership.

I'm not under warranty . I think it goes away after it warms up, i'll check into it. Collapsed lifter or push rod? I may have to pay for this myself...

What year is the car? Are you stating it "knocks" under acceleration like the fuel is bad or are you stating there is a discernable "tick"? Have you over revved the motor recently or before this noise came about? Did it come about suddenly? Is it there at idle?

I just basically noticed it right now, it's a discernable "tick" that someone said was a "valve knock". I use Exxon 93 at an actual Exxon gas station...happens at idle and at rev, I only revved it up to 1500RPM and it was there...

If its doing it at idle, then is not the fuel. First thing I would try is a carbon cleaning treatment like Seafoam to see if that gets rid of it.
