Surely they aren't that bad to install are they? Any of you guys running them?
Yes I installed my Kook's myself, while not the easyest to install they are far from the worst.
Try installing a set of JR's in a 1967 Barracuda with a big block then you will know what hard is!
And BTW a new set only lasted around a year and a half each time in Mich.
I haven't had them on for more than a couple thousand I bet. However, this isn't the first pair of Jet Hot coated headers I have had and I've never had any rusting issues. This is even in Colorado where they put sodium chloride all over the roads.
Well ive ruled out the pacesetter headers as shorty headers do absolutely nothing... so that leaves LTs by Texas speed performance and the LTs by SSAUTOCHROME.
I just dont see the point in the extra 300+ dollars for "name brand" headers. (except for ARH's and LG's)
anyways.. I have a dillemma.. living in the tidewater virginia area, Part of our state inspection is a visual inspection for cats. mind you... most shops look at the vette and hardly do a thorough look over because they are afraid to put it on the lift... but anywho... I was thinking the following setups

Good to hear! Sounds like another reasonable option to consider, thanks for your input
I don't think it will be too much longer for the SSAC headers. Contact Rick (EFI Alchemy). My car was used for the mock up of the new header design and will probably be the first C5 with the new header. The mock up was done close to a month ago and as I understand they are in the process of manufacturing them. I'm sure Rick can give you more info.
