Sorry for the lack of substance and info.It was a very simple statement.I was laughing very hard when I read your post. You might want to reread this whole thread for the info.Especially the post by Cscokd. If you still don't get it I can PM you.

I just installed a pair and they still look like this. I specifically asked TSP if I would have to modify anything and they said no. I am now pretty pissed that this is a known issue and they didn't tell me.

Just a thought for others, I would consider using a hole saw to get the clearance. I've heard of others who heat up the area around the bung, so you can bend its location angle a bit for clearance, but those headers appear coated and that might not been a good choice here.

It's my car in the pics, and yes I was fine w/ the tunnel plate being cut. As VIPERBLUELX stated, I had to have the car back that day so that was the best option for me.

We were very disappointed w/ the fitment of the x-pipe but wasn't much else we could do really. The tips on the car are absolutely terrible now. They're not even close to being lined up so I'm going to have to have something done to get those straightened up a bit. Also, the x-pipe also hits a bit on right at the back on the passenger side before connects to the catback.

I guess you get what you pay for, but I just couldn't justify the extra price of the Kooks or LGs at the time when I thought I was being smarter and was going to save some money. At least they're on now though, hopefully they'll make decent power. If I could do it over I'd probably just suck it up and would've payed the difference for something else but as already stated had to have the car back and already had the headers on so didn't want to have to pay for another removal/install of those.

You should bust their chops a bit, you asked if they would be a direct fit and they lied. Let them know you are going to dispute the cost of a tunnel plate with your CC company.

Im having issues with my TSP headers as well. ive had to modify my tunnel heat sheild to get them to fit, and i purchased ones with AIR tubes as well but now im just deleting the AIR system because of the fact that on the headers they sent me the flange was on the second primary and not the first. I called them many times trying to rectify my problem and they were very unhelpful. they told me to modify my AIR tubes by cutting them and splicing in a peice of heater hose, or to buy the one from the 01 + corvettes ( i have a 97). I will never buy anything from texas speed again.

I don't believe that will really be necessary. I've had nothing but EXCELLENT customer service from Trevor at Texas Speed. He kept me updated throughout the entire order, shipped when he said, and he's responded to all my questions very promptly and thoroughly. He even answered one of my questions today and is supposed to get back w/ me after he speaks with one of his technicians tomorrow as well. So like I said, nothing but good service from Trevor unfortunatley the product wasn't quite as good.

The customer service i recieved when speaking with jon was decent. but every other shop and parts vendor ive dealt with bent over backwards to ensure I was happy with my parts and or their product. The vibe I get from TSP was "eh, you already bought it, so modify things on your end to make it work, not our fault". If I had known about the modifications that were going to be needed to make these things work, I would have taken my business elsewhere.

Thats funny because I talked to them last week about wanting a set with AIR or 01+. They told me that there were no plans to offer anything but 97-00. That was actually the reason I decided not to order them, and after that they send you what they tell me they won't make

I installed the TSP headers for Tiki and was listening to him on the phone with them. From what I could gather reading some posts and such, the TSP's were supposed to include that updated air tube from the later model C5's. They basically told him to deal with it and that they weren't going to ship him a new one.

Sure, it's relatively simple to modify the airtube to make the system work but that's beyond the point--he paid $x for y parts and instead didn't get everything he needed. Even some bolts were missing from the outfit.

Anyhow, that's just a non-biased observer's viewpoint.
