Tell that to the people who buy cheap WALMART batteries and off shore made battery float chargers...

Crap, well if the ebay headers dont fit any better(i think they will though, most people liked the fit of the 2nd gens), and the TSP's obviously suck, what is the next cheapest header that will have a good fit?

this makes me nervous because i have a set in the shop awaiting install with my heads/cam I'll be taking to the exhaust shop with open headers if they fit like **** and make them mod the X-pipe if necessary. No big deal, i have to have them clamp my Ti to the exhaust(they can't weld Ti that i know) so might as well have them do that if they have to~Cole~

You shouldn't have to cut on your car if the headers are designed properly. That's pretty bad.
This really makes me wish I would've stuck w/ my Kooks now but live and learn.....

Chopping the edge of a tunnel plate out and weakening it to fit an incorrectly angled O2 sensor bung is BS.
LG installedtheir Pro headers on my car and cut two holes.

However, The only reason they did that was to run the sensor wires above the plate. They said they could run them underneath in the stock location, but it was better for the life of the wiring to run them above the plate. The sensors clear a 1/4" LAPD tunnel plate.

Ah that's cool that they offer that. I know when I got mine from LAPD, that wasn't even an option. Of course I had no issues with my headers at all, fit like a glove.

Ive had SSA headers (ebay) on my car since october....no leaks, no holes cut in heat shield and i put them on myself in my garage on jackstands..to each his own......not to mention it dynoed 342hp 362tq to the rear wheels on a mustang dyno....not bad for $300 junk So if those texas speed headers save a lot of dough and need a few mods to get them in it may be worth it, just my $.02.

I think the LG street headers are only a couple hundred bucks more. well worth it for a better fit and stainless construction. when I do mine, I'll likely go with the LG streets.

As to the folks who think it is bs - good for you - it's good to have an opinion.

best regards -

Wow- that sucks. The fitment is **** poor to say the least. Reading this post has me really antsy... I recently ordered a set of LG Pros and eagerly awaiting their arrival. I've got an Elite Engineering tunnel plate with the thermal "abs" coating and wondered WTF it had two holes cut in it.

Now I am praying to the car gods that those holes line up with the positioning of the O2 sensors on the LG Pros

Best of luck getting your issues resolved.

I DONT UNDERSTAND WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT. I HAVE TSP LONG TUBES, INSTALLED THEM MYSELF. ALOT OF MANU. SUGGEST ROUTING THE 02 WIRES THROUGH THE TUNNEL PLATE TO PRETECT THEM. WHEN U LOOK AT THE PRICE DIFFERENCE I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW ANYONE CAN GRIPE. THEY ARE 1/3 THE PRICE AND IF U EVER DO HAFT TO REPLACE THE O2S U CAN GET THEM OUT IF THE HOLE IS CUT. I JUST USED A HOLE SAW AND A RUBBER GRAU. LOOKS FACTORY NOT THAT ANYONE WILL EVER SEE IT. HEAVEN FORBID ANYONE THINK ABOUT WHERE THE PROPER PLACE FOR WIRING SHOUD BE. IM PLEASED WITH MY TSP HEADERS. SO CALLING ANOTHER MEMBERS CAR OR CAR PARTS "JUNK" IS NOT COOL STATING THAT THE HEADERS WHERE NOT WHAT U EXPECTED OR EVEN PROBLEMS U HAD WITH THE INSTALL WOULD HAVE BEEN WELCOMED, BUT TO EACH HIS OWN.

SORRY IF IM RANTING, BUT A COMPANY THAT SELLS A PRODUCT AT 1/3 THE PRICE OF THE COMP. SHOULD NOT BE HELD TO THE SAME STANDARDS. IM NOT SAYING THAT THEY SHOULD PRODUCE "JUNK" (WHICH THEY ARE NOT) JUST BE WILLING TO SPEND AN EXTRA HOUR TO SAVE URSELF SOME MONEY

I can deal with the O2 issue but not the X-pipe issue. I don't want to have to get my exhaust modded to make the tips line up right...screw that.

Is it asking too much for them to fit properly especially after the guy was told they would?!? One man's junk is another man's treasure. Glad you are happy with yours but I for one am glad the guy posted his experience and others chimed in.
