I put the Texas speed longtubes on my car and didn't have any problems with fitment. The only problem I had was that they are starting to rust even though they are ceramic coated.

So if Ruff Racing wheels, much cheaper than say a ccw, were not perfectly round you would be ok with it because they are a 1/3 of the price.

I think not.

If a co. is claiming that all the fitment issues have been resolved and you get a set and they do not fit or line up properly ,I would hope you would tell the rest of us so that when we get our set and make a thread saying "Help xxx brand not lining up" , a bunch of people say yeah mine either, you would be pissed because if you would have know, you wouldn't have got xxx brand.

I just put in my LG pros with Elite Engineering's 1/4" Thermal Abs. No clearance issues at all. Wrapped the O2 wires in header wrap just to be safe.

Put different bungs in mine and the wires have holders connected to the tunnel plate bolts as well as some heat tape in some exposed areas. No problems with mine at all.

Dude With The Wheels Ur Compairing Apples And Oranges. I Said That Id Would Pay 1/3 The Price And Work With Them Alittle To Get Them In. Not Pay 1/3 The Price For Something That Will Not Work At All.

With That Being Said, I Thought That His Only Complaint Was The O2s Not Being Where He Wanted Them(which Has Been Discused Over And Over) And He Need Some Longer Bolts. I Did Not See That The Xpipe Would Not Work Either.

Is there any stipulation that you need to use a certain x-pipe? I have the TSP x-pipe as well and it fits fine. Bungs are $3.00 a piece and heat tape was $7.00.

Makes me laugh--awhile back people were so hard on the SSAC headers for the extra work required to make them fit-Now a few months later , other manufacturers seem to have many of the same issues--I would be more concerned about the quality of the welds--the quality of the stainless tubing and the strength of the flanges--
LESSON LEARNRED ?? YES--most all Corvette headers require some sort of mis allignment fabrication--no big deal !!! A lot of Bru Ha about something that is really a common occurance---

Actually most of us already know what headers to stay away from.

The noobs that are on a gen4 budget are stirring it up in the hunt for cheap products and ignoring quality.

american racing and lg motor sport ftw

If you consider purchasing ssac or tsp i say you do.

sacrificing quality for price

complain all you want but the headers that are worth purchasing have the quality to back them up and because of that they set the market price on quality headers.

My Dynatechs were an easy bolt-in. Beautiful workmanship, beautiful fit and they work beautifully. No bending or flexing on any part of the system to cause stress-cracking on any weld joints, which seems fairly common on at least one other high-end brand.

well now, thats a pretty narrow minded statement.

I think were all a bunch of noobs with a low budget, otherwise we would all be sporting C6's now shoudnt we?

We have installed every set of popular headers avaliable for C5's, all of them have some sort of fitment issue's, some very minor, and some have more then others and i guarantee you that the price of them is no indication of how well they fit.

So you know, we have installed SSAC and TSP headers on younger guys cars, and yes the budget was a concern, and with a few minor tweaks we got headers on the car that the owner could afford.

We've also installed those same headers on some very high horsepower cars, and the decision was made and budget had absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the owners decision.

I have experienced the exact same issues the OP stated here with the TSP headers, would it stop me from reccomending them to customers, no. I do explain these things up front and they make the decision for themselves.

and for reference, I have the SSAC headers on my personal C5, and am very happy with them, and budget was not a concern, i wanted to try a new product, and they work very well, the low price is just nice benefit

I had the second generation Ebay headers on my old C5 and they fit without any modification and cost even less than the TSPs. They will have their newest set out for sale in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to install them on my Z06.

No, Most of use that purchased new, prefer the c5 over the c6

Seems biased to me as you are the new design team and teaming up with the ssac folks.

American Racing headers and LG motor sports offer the best quality product in material and fitment hands down.

Again you are trying to sell ssac headers so your opinion is biased. Tsp headers are a mild steel header with a coating on it so that you do not notice the rust a week after purchasing them. They are made of inferrior steel compared to AR or LG headers.

SSAC is notorious across the board for poor products and some of you are trying to change that with helping on the design. good for you The ssac setup did not even come with all the materials needed for install if i remember correctly.

We all know the problems cheap headers come with and that is the bottom line. It is your choice where you spend your money and most people that have purchased them wish they had more information before doing so on both tsp and ssac products. Sometimes it is easier to pull the trigger on price alone with out truly knowing the history of the company or product you are buying.

Guess people here missed my post a few days ago about SSA headers on my car. I put them in myself and pulled 342hp/362tq on a mustang dyno....$300! mod and they set me an x pipe with it by mistake! Bonus!. But yeah you go ahead and spend stupid money on headers when you can get a product high in quailty for a 1/4 of the price. Anyone who has a little mechanical know how can install them just fine. Just because a person owns a corvette dosent mean they have deep pockets. Im just an average guy and its nice to save some money and avoid the " vette tax".
