Relatively Urgent Help Needed - Service Column

First verify that the 3rd and most recent recall was indeed performed.
This latest "fix" should have eliminated the fuel shutoff that you describe.
In my experience with two cars with the same problem, it required a trip to the dealership to correct this, and to tune out the fuel shutoff etc.
Then I would order a CLB ASAP and get it installed - but this will not correct the current problem you have.

In the sticky:
Q I had the recall done and now after a few weeks my car is getting the dreaded “Service Column Lock” error message and I can’t drive it because the fuel is shut off. What should I do?
A You have the following choices: 1) return to the dealer and make them fix it; 2) A4 cars - replace or remove the Harness "K" assembly; 3) remove the recall mods and restore to original; 4)MN6/M12 cars only - go into your passenger footwell, locate the relay added by the recall mod, remove the relay altogether and bypass the circuit as described below (my choice).
Q For MN6/M12 cars what can I do if this situation occurs?
A Go into your passenger footwell. Remove your BCM and locate the recall mod relay, remove it and add a jumper wire between the white wire (pin 30) and the orange wire (pin 87). Note that there are two orange wires, so make sure you get the right one!
Can I do this still? This isn't actually my car, it's my Dads and as much as he loves it, hes getting pretty soured by the column lock issues, the reverse lights, the HVAC lights, etc. I've wanted a C5 for as long as I can remember as well, but experiences with this car... not so sure. LoL.
Then I tried jumping the relay in the foot well White Pin 30 and Orange Pin 87. Cleared codes. No good. Then I decided to get under the dash on the driver side, removed K Harness and hooked it back up to stock. Clear codes, no good. I notice now that I can't hear the motor - not sure if this happened when I tried to jump the relay in the foot well, or after pulling the K Harness. Hooked K Harness back up. Clear codes. Still no sound of motor.
FWIW, it has the white TYCO relay. Gave up at this point. Now I know why I have an old car with a swapped LS1 and not a Corvette.
The "old man" is pretty fed up with the car now. Between the driver door lock not unlocking with the fob, the reverse lights not working, the column lock issues, the HVAC lights, the button for the fuel door pushing through the console etc etc it has been the worst car he has ever owned electrically. And it only has 45K on it! You'd think it has Lucas Electronics in it.
So, I'm not sure what to advice now. Looks like its back to the dealer for an actuator, or maybe its just a crappy relay? Doesn't make sense as to why I could hear the motor when I first got there and not when I left.
Most likely, a Harness K kit was installed as part of the recall, and the relay has failed. You can either have the dealer replace the Harness K kit, or install an aftermarket CLB. Both perform the function of fooling the BCM into thinking the actuator is in the unlocked position.
The Harness K relay keeps the actuator in the circuit so you can still hear the relay cycle, even though the lockplate should be removed so the column cannot lock.
It is possible that the actuator could have gotten stuck while you were working on it and it is stuck in the locked position.

Also, with HPTuners, I know we can now adjust the fuel cutoff to whatever we want, but does the option to make the column lock not fitted solve the error in the DIC?

Did it 2 years ago and problems gone!
