Default AC problems

When I try to turn my AC on, the light on the AC button will light up and flash a few times than go out and the AC will not come on. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this before and knows what is the problem Thanks

What DTCs are you seeing?? Read them out using the DIC and post them and that will help figure out whats wrong.

yes

this problem points to an outside air temp sensor found in the front of your passenger are of the bumper.

It looks like a plastic 2 " nipple connection. The wires and the connector wiring often gets corroded and causes this issue.

Look for wire in this general area and you should find it or search here for better pics etc. "air temp sensor"
(possibly other issues at hand) this was my issue

Black Z06 has it

A/C (Air Conditioning): This button turns
the air conditioning compressor off or on under most
conditions. The light on the A/C button will come on
when the compressor is operating in either the automatic
or manual mode. The air conditioning does not operate
at temperatures below approximately 35F to 40F
(2C to 4C). The light on the A/C button will flash if
pressed when air conditioning is not available.
The air
conditioning cools and dehumidifies the air coming into
the vehicle. The air conditioning cannot be turned off in
defrost and defog, as it helps to remove moisture from
the vehicle. It also helps to keep the windows clear.
Hope this helps out

What temp does the external air temp sensor read on the head unit? That is a correct statement. If it thinks its too cold, it will NOT operate.
Does the temp change with the outside temp change?

As Bill said in post #2 you need to display the DTC data ... go here for instructions, then post all the codes displayed. Most critical will be the PCM codes (Pxxxx H/C) as the PCM actually controls the a/c compressor.
