Default Brake fluid question

I want to change out my brake fluid this sprint and I was looking at the Amsoil web site. They recommend their DOT 4 fluid for a C5. The cap says to use DOT 3 fluid. Is there any issue using DOT4? Thanks!!

DOT 4 is a far better brake fluid. Higher Dry and Wet boiling points. Go with the DOT4

DOT3 or originally designed for drum brakes, It works but DOT 4 is better

DOT4 from any reputable fluid supplier (such as Castrol) works GREAT !!

How has that been working out for ya? Using it in your clutch as well?

Um... I'd like to say that I've had a chance to take my car to the track... but I can't. Been getting ready for deployment and been too busy. Racing season for me postponed to the fall after a summer deployment.

FYI, I will, but haven't yet, use the DOT 4 version in my clutch as well as the brakes. Since I bought my Z06 new in Aug 2001, I've been using my brake fluid of choice in my clutch without issues. Used Motul RBF 600 for a few years, then switched to Wilwood EXP 600 Plus for a few years.

I think I'm probably going to get some and give it a whirl. I had clutch issues in Colorado (just moved to Texas) which is inherently slower and therefore less heat, I can only imagine down here...so I better do all I can.
