steering wheel noise

steering wheel noise

well as it states above I suddenly got a EEERRRRRRRRR noise when turning the steering wheel it it is not that loud but it can be herd. It does this when turning both sides. It is in the steering wheel not coming from the engine compartment 01 C5 coupe any help on what to look for??

Someone posted this same problem a few days ago and the solution was to lube the steering wheel. I don't remember where the lube goes but search should bring you back some results.

Thanks DeeGee. You would think that someone would have taken a better picture by now. That looks like something from the Apollo 13 days.

yea for sure I cant tell if I can do this wile its in the car or not looke like the colum must be removed...F that squeel away I'll turn up the tunes first
any body got a picture from this century???????? in color
