Post any/all codes and someone can help you in diagnosing them.
After reading the owners manual a few times, I syncronized the key fobs, (hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for 7 seconds until the horn chirps). Tried 1 fob first and the car still would not start. After the 2nd fob, the car started. Both fobs worked after that.
Thanks for the help.

The FOBs have NOTHING to do with the car not starting or starting>
So,,,with that in mind,,,you may still have an issue. My thought right off the bat would be an ignition switch issue. If you didn't see the pull key wait 10 sec, or your security light is flashing at you, it probably isn't a security issue.
Your ignition switch has TWO parts. The ignition key cylinder which has the small electrical fingers in it that read the key pellet resistance & the electrical switch/es section that contain multiple switch contacts that operate during the off run and crank positions of the switch.
One of the RUN contacts may have not made proper contact. Cycling the switch to attempt to start the car numerous times most likely allowed the switch to make contact and resolved the issue for now.
