Default Will lowering be even...

I read the write up on lowering the C5 on C5forum and it says if you don't remove the nut in the rear, you can lower your car about an inch. Then it goes on to say in the front turn the bolt till it hits the retaining clip or whatever.

Without cutting or removing things, turning each bolt in the front in the rear to max, would it both be about an inch?

Leave about 2-3 threads showing in the rear.

ON stock bolts, not cutting anything, I got about 1 1/2 inch out of it.

Just recently got my C6 bolts and the car is now slammed.

So turning each bolt all the way, how much does the car lower in the front and in the rear?

turning the bolts the same amount may not and most likely will not result in even lowering. Most frames are close to being true but not always and still bewith in factor specs.

There is something called corner balancing. With your wt in the drivers seat the cross wts, LF + RR and RF+ LR should just about be equal or 51%-49% to 52% - 48%

Not only that but having the proper rake 1/4 to 3/8 is very important for handling and aerodynamics.

Slammed cars look great but have minimal real handling. and can cause problems if lowered too much, as in going over a bump and bottoming out a shock.

Good Luck with your project

So is the answer then, turn the bolts all the way in the front and leave a few threads in the back to make it even?

No not really. Use a measuring tape to measure the ground to the frame rail. In front measure to just in front of the jacking puck hole. and in the rear to just behind the jacking puck hole.

Remember to put your wt in the drivers seat.

I use old brake rotors
