Well I guess I just as well bite it and tear it down to the cam again and see what is going on. That has to be what it is. I must have missed something or goofed which I guess can happen to the best of us. Thanks a million fellas and I will keep you posted
Not only do the best of us miss something, us mortals do too. I feel for you. If misery loves company here is a little light reading on what I did to mine last August. How to ruin $3000 worth of machinery with a 10 cent washer. You're not alone... Hang in there.
Well I found the problem, the cam gear was off by 2 teeth. I cannot belive I did that. Im ganna hang my head in shame for that one for awile. I would have swore on the bible that it was right on. Only thing I can think of was the chain fell off of the crank gear and I didnt relized it and moved my timing off. Tech tip of the day fellas, double check, tripple check, its well worth the extra time! Thanks again everyone! I will post some dyno numbers and pics within the next month or so when it is finished. I cant wait

Well, I think we had a consensus on this being the problem. I am so sorry for your frustrating troubles. I know first hand how it is to pursue power and be proud to finish a car only to find expensive troubles in view. I personally appreciate your honesty regarding your mistake. It will hopefully save many others from making the same mistake. This is why I so love this forum! Can't wait to get a happy post from you regarding your dyno #'s!
Just read the rest of the post, sorry to hear your misfortune. That is usually my M.O. I have to put it together and take it apart two or three times before getting it right. Good luck with the new stuff!!
