engine light flashing???

Default engine light flashing???
what does that mean? i have had the engine light come on before but never flashing on and off. i was giving the car a bit of a thrashing and the exhaust was making a couple of loud popping noises on decelleration
i dont know wether that has anything to do with it or not

When the engine light flashes, it is indicating a misfire. If you pull the codes, you should see mis-fire codes. If you drive normally, does the light come on?

Default flashing light
A flashing check engine light, means a catalyst damaging condition exists. (raw fuel in the exhaust in your case)
