I have a 1999 corvette c-5 and it has 40000 miles on it, basically stock except for a K&N filter (which I recently re oiled two months ago) and I use royal purple in the engine (5w-30). Under a light load, the kind you feel when you want a bump to get you into traffic faster but not enought to kick it down into a different gear. I hear a light clatter for about a second, then it disappears. It only happens under load not when the car is in neutral. Of course I usually have the radio on so I did not notice it until I was driving with it off so I am unsure as to how long it has been happening. I live in Arizona, could this be because of the hear and the weight of the oil. It is an automatic transmission and I did recently have The Wynnes fluid transfer done. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
Sorry I did mean clatter,"Wynnes" never seen it spelled, is the transmission fluid exchange system that changes 95 percent of the fluid in your transmission.
