I just set up my YT on my AFR 205's . I had to shim them using .062 X 5/16 washers that I picked up from Lowes. The stock washers were only .048 and the wipe wasn't centered.

Also I didn't see you using a trans cooler or hardened output shafts. If you put a sticky tire on that thing, you may want to consider the shafts.
Good Luck.

Why would he want heads that won't fit his engine?

Default No more new parts

I'm all set for my build project and have all the parts that I need. Stay tuned everyone for my final results. The car will be ready around July 8. I will do my best to post pics and video.

Good luck, looking forward to results. I have a set of AFR's waiting to be installed on my workbench.

It's going in the trunk for added weight above the rear tires. I have a feeling I'm going to need it!

If I were a betting man... I'd guess after a good tune your idle will be around 1000rpm and your car won't like running the air conditioning at idle and will often die going into reverse if you don't rev it.

That said, the grin on your face when you hit it off the line will make you forget all of that. And your gf won't want to ride in the car any more either (unless she's a real keeper!)

Ask me how I know...

Actually I am AFTRBRNR's fiance, and I'm just as excited about the build, if not more, since a cam is also involved!!! How I long to hear that aggressive lope... Yes, I've been a gearhead girl for most of my life. Usually for Christmas, we give each other car parts for presents, lol... I am the previous owner of an '04 Cobra I'm switching over to the dark side, lol, where the engines are bigger!! I'm looking for an '03 black C5 Z06. Of course, my fiance's C5 coupe will be smoking mine until I save up for some mods, which will probably be awhile. The parts are so much more ridiculously expensive. His C5 is going to be so crazy sick - a monster - we can't wait!!!

**She had a bad start; otherwise I would have lost badly.

She's a tiny little girl driving around a car that dyno'd 450RWHP/500RWTQ. I have the dyno video to prove it. She likes to go fast!!

I'll probably have to play rock, paper, scissors with her to be able to drive it myself.

Default In the shop

Update:

Car is currently in the shop. I will have some pulls and results posted later this week.

If we run into any snags such as PtV clearance or YT clearance issues I'll post them as well. I will be using the stock GM head gasket and not my Cometics .040 for reliability and clearance purposes.

My significant other has already hinted about ragging the thing on the interstate and setting off all the car alarms in the neighborhood when it's done. (She's a keeper! )

Even if you don't run into any issues, I would still be interested in your PTV numbers or anything else that details the installation. You are forging down a path I hope to follow in October

Already got Yank SS3200 and DTE G2 3.73 rear end

Like I said, this is the end of the road for my N/A set-up. I went smart and did the cam last.

I'll try to give you as much as I get from the tech on the build.

Tuner estimates it will be done on Wednesday...if we don't run into any issues.

Why waiting so long?
