I admire your efforts to hold us to a high standard, but I can't help but wonder if at some point we've offended you. We are very proud of all our products and of our support of the Corvette community.
The company that produces our bearings is FK Rod Ends in Southington, CT. Their website is www.fkrodends.com. It looks like the website you found is a Chinese company trying to benefit from copying the FK name.
I realize that Pfadt Racing takes a unique approach by designing and building products from the ground up rather than putting our label on existing product. Our shocks, sway bars, bushing kits, etc, work great for a lot of people and that's our goal.

Aaron...make a better mouse trap they will beat a path to your door! Course some of the other mouse trap companies may not care for your design. just keep your focus upon the customer and your quality will speak for itself. I am most pleased with your coilovers and I will also be purchasing your new tranny mount and drive shaft once it is out. Folks take the time to do your home work and look at the PFADT products....they are quality made items and most importantly they are priced reasonably. And no I do not work for nor am I paid by PFADT....course I will not turn down a discount!
Highly "underated" on this forum.. They work as advertised, sold for a very competitve price and do not suffer from the harshness of an LG setup on the street.
If your not planning to be a serious racer your best bet is PFADT coilovers. Gives you choices of ride height and stiffness. If you are going to be a serious racer Motron...period.
Well said, and I totally agree. As for myself, I definately do not make the grade as a "serious racer," so I'm running Pfadt's.
Penske 8760
The new Penske 8760 series is the best 3 way shock on the market today. The high speed and low speed bump and rebound adjusters are completely independently adjustable and with the 2 bump adjusters on the canister, you can go from street to track settings in minutes. All Penske shocks are made from absolutely the finest materials (CNC billet and anodized construction) and are easy to rebuild or revalve yourself or by us. They are coil-over ready and if you decide to go that way all you need to add is the springs. They are a tremendous upgrade for your C4, C5, C6 and C6ZO6. Made in USA.
Coilovers
Dual rate coil over springs allow a soft initial ride and get progressivly stiffer to prevent bottoming and compensate for the Corvette shock geometry. These are 2.25 ID springs (most others are 2.5 inch and are an extremely close "fit") for chassis component clearance with a machined billet Delrin coupler. These spring sets are compatible for most brands of coilover ready shocks.
Upper Shock Mount
This upper shock mount clevis kit permits any shock with a 1/2 inch upper spherical bearing to be used on all 84-08 Corvettes. This is a CNC machined, anodized billet clevis that uses a stainless shoulder bolt so that no threads are in shear. In addition, an offset billet adapter flange device permits up to .200 inches of upper mount X-Y adjustment for coil over clearance, regardless of your camber or caster settings. We designed this so be as low profile as possible, with very tolerances for quiet, long lasting operation. This mount will make your shock dynamics work better and will extend the life of the shock seals and bearings. It has a large face that properly distributes the load on the mounting surface of the frame and is appropriate for coil-over use. All hardware shown is included (no bearing is included).
Buddy...I think you have plenty of information to make your decision. You just need to ask yourself....how much money do I want to spend and what do I plan to use the car for.
Not meaning to sidetrack this thread, but I have a question about replacement shocks:
My car has the selctive ride control. Will this feature not work if I replace my shocks with something beside the original one?
No, the selective ride control is part of the factory shocks. When replacing the shocks with aftermarket units, you will loose this feature.
You will also need to install F45/F55 simulators or, turn off selective ride control in the computer, done by a shop. If this is not done then the computer will go into limp mode. Limp mode will not allow you to go above 80mph.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
THX JOSH thats where im at the selective ride delete,,im going with the pfadt setup both sways and coils....as far as the thread alot of good info in here
hey Aaron should i wait i mean if ur coming out with some new type. im looking for both my C5 and my C6Z06
BTW looks like Pafdt by 2 to 1
We are always working on new things here at Pfadt. Anything new will be an addition to our product line, not a replacement. Our current coilovers are a great product at a great price.
Down the road (2-4 months) we will have a higher priced set of coilovers that will have some exciting features. They will be inverted, they will be all aluminum bodied, and they will retain our unique adjustable body length design for maximum ride height flexibility. Also look for some convenient damping adjustment options
just installed a set of Pfadt's tonight, owner called on the ride home and said it handled like a slot car, added T1's too, CCW Corsairs will be on in 2 weeks, should look good
A couple of weeks ago I installed a set of H&R Street Performance Coil Overs. So far so good but the big test comes on Sunday. They are only height adjustable.
