the Audio Section -sadly- is for all years Corvettes... one might not fiind the answer there.
this will sound strange, but check to see if you accidentallyhave the audio CD's installed upside down in the cartridge.
Also, you'll need to press the AUX button on th ehead unit (if I remember correctly) to select the CD changer as a source.

Are you using store bought CDs or are you using CDRW with MP3 recorded media? My 98 was very picky with what it would play. I found that it only liked a certain type of CDR. Try playing regular store bought labeled CDs and see if that makes a difference.
Keep us up to date. If all else fails, the changers are pretty reasonable in the C5 Parts for sale section.

I had the same problem .
I bought an extra 12 disk cassette and it worked with the extra one but didnt work with the cassette that came with the car .
It would just sit there and shuffle through all the cd's but wouldnt actually grab them and put them in the cd reader .

It takes a few seconds for the changer to shuffle the CDs in the twelve trays. You should see the flashing icon on the dash head unit.
When the icon stops flashing, only then is it ready to play...

Yep it works great now. Dont know what the problem was but after borrowing another cassette it started working. It might have made something seat better....who knows. It was nice meeting you to SMaster. Ill have to show you my new wheels sometime.
