OBX headers
I wonder, have you ever even turned a wrench in your life? Someone has asked a question about a brand that you have not owned, installed, or even looked at i assume from your idiotic responces. And i agree you get what you pay for, and if what you get gets the job done at a reasonable price THEN I WOULD ASSUME ITS A BARGAIN ..
So is it your feeling that us blue collar guys that work on cars are good enough to change your oil and install your overpriced headers because your to incompetent to, Shouldn't own one ..
LESSONS IN LIFE YEAH I LEARNED THAT NEVER PAY MORE THAN YOU HAVE TO
You keep adding to your post lol ill keep answering lets see i spent a total of 34 bucks for bolts and clamps at the parts store
The dent was from shipping , who hasnt recieved damaged goods from ups or fed ex

And cats? No joke they don't have cats. Thank God! Why buy headers if you're gonna put a restriction in them? Wow. You're a very special person.

SINCE YOU RUN YOUR MOUTH INITIATING A PROBLEM, BACK IT UP. FLY, DRIVE HERE AND GIVE ME THAT HUG, WANNABE TOUGH GUY. I'LL BET YOU BACK DOWN FROM THAT JUST LIKE YOU'VE BACKED DOWN FROM EVERY OPPORTUNITY YOU'VE HAD TO BACK UP YOUR BS YOU SPREAD WHILE RUNNING YOUR **** HOLSTER.
Now let's see who the runt is. I'll bet once again you can't back up your mouth. It's getting old, and you really look pathetic. Just shut up since you have no experience and probably pay people to install your parts anyway. It's pretty simple. Put out or get out. Just don't comment if you have no knowledge or experience. You're a joke.
To answer your original question..
I purchased the obx headers knowing that there were issues in the past with the ssac headers. So i went into this knowing that there may be some bending heating /welding to be done.. I can say that my headers fit without issue.. I'm having my o2s relocated to provide better clearance and to install an extra bung for a wide band.. Is this required ? no I dont want to cut holes in my tunnel plate i have an after market coated one that is thicker, stock you can clearance with a hammer.. I went with these over tsp because i wanted stainless.. Are there better headers out there that make more power yes.
If your looking to get every ounce of hp you can then by all means get the 1 7/8 kooks or lgs a/r and so on.. For me i wanted an AFFORDABLE stainless street header that would give the most bang for the buck!!!
They are what they claim they are and I would buy them again hope this helps

I didn't mean to let it get out of hand. I don't even think the headers are great. I just don't think that people without knowledge should even offer input. Especially erroneous information. There's no point to it.

people can be very negative on here about things on here. Now i just read for the entertainmanet value rather than the educational value. By the way my wife does body fat content readouts for people on the bone density machine she runs and says 9% is really low. Not bad for a runt...

We are doing a set of these right now and I can give you my .02 on this product.
From the top everything looks good and a nice fit. High polish and nice TIG welds. Time will tell how they last. Underneath is VERY disappointing to say the least, but these are $300 headers. The height variance from right to left at the collector is about 7/8" with the LS collector being very low.
The brackets at the collector that go to the bell housing are approx 1.00" too far back to bolt up and agin the LS bracket is about 7/8" lower then the RS. Very sad.
The LS oxygen sensor contacts the bell housing as mentioned here. I see that RPM did a quick fix by locating the sensor at what apprears to be where the bell housing brackets use to be. I personally would prefer the proper top location but they probably did not want to remove the LS header for the sensor relocate.
Again, it is very sad quality as far as fit, but they are $300 and not much more should be expected. Our customer will end up with approx $1200 into these headers to make them proper and that is with off road pipes. I guess we could do it cheaper by moving the oxygen sensor location to what RPM has and use aluminized steel for the pipes, but we prefer to stick with stainless and TIG welding as well as a proper fit. We will most likely also cut and re-weld the LS collector for proper height.
Hopefully down the road these cheap imitations of TPIS and JetHot will not fall apart. Hope this info helps some folks.

those are the ssac headers not the obx 2 completely
different headers!!!!
If your going to take the time to research to try to prove
me wrong the least you could is get info on the obx headers
they didnt even come out til the end of last year
All of your so called hey i told you so threads are from
2006 and ssac tpis rip -offs SO now use the search function
and pull up obx and youll find that everyone on here
that installed them had no real problems and made
good power..

It's funny that that would eve be considered an issue. Buying any aftermarket parts almost always requires some modification and massaging. Heck, if the mounting tabs being off by an inch is the worst that happens, they're still good fitting in my book. I can use a piece of scrap metal to make that work. I mean, hrmm... 5min of fabricating to save $800. That's a no brainer to anybody.
OBX is a totally different design by a different manufacturer. STOP POSTING 1ST GEN SSAC PICS!
Any shop frown upon customers bringing their own parts in and always want to sell their own distributed parts.

Hey bud.... the pics are of SSAC headers and not OBX headers... your point is still not valid.
